Position Summary:

Coupons, Inc. (CI) is looking for a senior level software engineer to be part of an agile team that develops applications to integrate front-end web interfaces and complex applications by leveraging the internal Coupons, Inc. robust API architecture. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to making Coupons.com a world class destination web site. The ideal candidate should have a broad skill set which allows them to work independently completing small to large sized projects in a fast moving environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop the back end for a high volume consumer facing website utilizing the Coupons Inc APIs and tools.
  • Deliver projects end to end - from documentation to production grade code to release and production support.
  • Work with Consumer Marketing, Engineering (QA, Database Administration, and Network Ops), Retail Marketing, and Sales to drive projects to completion.


Position Qualifications:

  • BS in CS (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of hands-on software design and development experience in a startup environment.
  • Strong hands on skills in - ASP, .Net, C#, C++, MSSQL, logical design, stored procedures and web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL, solid understanding of HTTP protocol.
  • Experience in the design and development of client/server and multi-tier software systems.
  • Experience in a high-availability and mission-critical environment.
  • Keen ability to understand business needs and partner cross-functionally with Marketing and other business disciplines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience with complex data models, large databases, extensive reporting and data analysis strongly preferred.
